@The Smiling Pony
Well, the toy I bought from Hasbro was a Nerf. and I finished semi-binge watching Hanazuki and Transformers (Prime S1 and RID 2k15 (all seasons prior to Combiner Force))
Also, stop acting like you’re okay that Hasbro needs to be destroyed just because they’re doing business.
@Hollowfox the Stallion
It’s a corporation, it doesn’t care. Buy some toys and watch some episodes on Netflix, that’s all they care about, as it should be.
And for what it’s worth the up/down ratio on the thing is positive now.
People act like dicks towards Hasbro over their movies, the fact that they make toys for children that looks “bad” to adults, their cease and desist shit towards fanmade stuff that is making profit, etc.
@Ihhh
It better have positive reviews. Every Hasbro movie gets negative reviews and the only exception for now was the Ouija prequel. I mean they either hate Hasbro or maybe the directors suck as much as the films?
Directors, obviously. Hasbro only sells toys and own its rights.

Considering how acclaimed the show is, thats very likely to happen. Critics may be mixed on EQG, but so are fans, and both fans and critics love pinkie pride, twilight’s kingdom, and slice of life, all of which tells me that if critics don’t like the movie, neither will fans.
@angrybrony
… And you’re not going to explain how you come to that reasoning? Because it really doesn’t matter how you feel about it, it matters about what the actual outcome is. Brazil’s socialism was seen as fantastic back in the day, but it’s just led to a corrupt government and a horrible standard of living. It doesn’t matter about your feelings. It matters what the actual outcome is.
@PonyPon
I really don’t care how accusatory I sound. Did I accuse you of anything personally? No.
@Background Pony #055E
Fair point. I myself work during the night, so I have all day to see it. And I can also torrent it if I want to.
@Silent Wing
No, I’m just giving a guess, I mean, sure, it might do decently well, because some of the fandom will definitely see it, but a lot of us likely have jobs and thus more disposable income to buy the movie after physical release, so it’s a fair assumption to say that the most people seeing it will be the target demographic.
@PonyPon
How would merchandising push box office sales?
Sorry. Don’t hate me.
I just hate Hasbro haters.
@Hollowfox the Stallion
Jeez, I wish this age wouldn’t be the age where money and business are the enemy of the fanboys who want the company’s care.

Seriously, are you okay with Hasbro getting hate to the point where I get pissed off?!
You did say no. So why? I see people hating on Hasbro and it doesn’t deserve the hate.
Did I just not say “no”?
Why?
People act like dicks towards Hasbro over their movies, the fact that they make toys for children that looks “bad” to adults, their cease and desist shit towards fanmade stuff that is making profit, etc.
How it isn’t too much hate?
Edited
No.
About that, is Hasbro getting too much hate nowadays?
Because its an easy acceptable target to blame on and generally people won’t think very hard on entertainment stuff.
Then why people say “Hasbro can’t make good movies”?
Seriously, it’s not Hasbro’s fault movies like Bayformers were panned.
The only company that gets away with toy movies was Lego.

Especially if it gets positive reviews. Which I really want since the movie focuses on the ponies.
True.
I dunno, boost interest.
I was thinking more in overall gain than purely box office numbers.

sounds more alt-right to me.
Careful, you’re sounding mighty accusatory.
@Background Pony #055E
Might get past that with merchandising.
And how do you know that? Do you know the production costs of the movie? Do you know the ticket value? Agreed upon leverages?
I can’t see the movie doing more than breaking even.
