Oh come on dont play that card. There are plenty dark skinned versions of characters that got a lots of upvotes.

It really depends on the artstyle if you ask me. Some manage to pull it off others not so much. Also about the facial proportions…yeah they can kinda look off but thats nothing one cant improve on. Dont mind pinkie tough she looks cute. Maud looks a bit weird.

If enough people are complaining about your facial proportions, don’t you think they might have a point? That it might be something to work on if you want your drawings to have a widespread appeal?
 
But there’s no use playing the victim with another case of “it’s my style”. You can’t force people to accept mistakes or choices in your work if they don’t like them.
 
And yes, there’s plenty of anime shows that people complain look ugly.

Hello! I am the artist who created this piece. I’ve been seeing the immense amount of negativity around this post and many of my other human headcanons. Tell me why every pony headcanon must be skinny? White? Anime and sexualized? I’m sorry but it really upsets me that a majority of users on here think like this. Know I know “facial proportions” are something to improve on,,, ever heard of an art style???hm?? I don’t see anyone say that towards anime. Though I do respect others headcanons, I don’t respect those that hate on others headcanons because it’s different from theirs. Take care.
