There were some parts of the music number where I noticed the animation seemed a bit lazily made, but to be honest I think the animation is still doing just fine. The Twilight wing inconsistency has always been a thing though. It has happened more than once every season since Season 4, and it’s a grudge I hold that I can’t let go. :V

It must have been you, because it looked just fine to me. Granted, I was watching it in 480p, so…

Maybe it’s just me being fucking high, but the animation quality, especially in the 2nd episode, really took a big step back. I sometimes had the feeling that felt like a youtube animator with a lower budget and focus on story/humor. Like a toucanLDM animation, there is for example not as much detail while movements don’t seem so smooth. (compare that to the things like the shading in some scenes from s6 or even s5). budget-cuts? less worktime available because the most budget was used for the movie or later episodes that are more significant and should be shown in a more cineastic way?

Twi looks better with more proportional wings, anyway.
