Yeah the story I’m writing is EqG and I understand not everyone enjoys that.
 
And Yeah I also like to think of Flash as the nice guy you don’t want to piss off. Bad things happen when a gentle soul is pushed too far.

that’s a good plot for him, but i never use his human counterpart because i’m not a big fan of EqG. I also use this “forgiving” personality to him, but he’s not a pushover. He knows how to be stern when the situation calls for it

I like to think of Flash as being very trusting and optimistic, possible to point of being gullible sometimes(I don’t think he’s stupid there is a difference). He’s quick to see the better side of people, even if it isn’t shown much. How else do you think he was able to date Sunset. I see him as one of the few people outside of the mane six that would support Sunset reforming.

I do own Pokemon X, but I haven’t played it much.  
But yeah in my story Comet’s gonna try various methods of bullying Sunset to force her to leave(ether back to her own world or to a different town) and stop having anything to do with Flash. Flash himself is very forgiving and accepting that Sunset’s trying to turn over a new leaf, so Comet’s methods are very indirect at first because he’s more of strategist than anything.

Comet has a grudge against Sunset for how she used to lie and how she treated Flash when they were dating. Also what happen at the Fall Formal could’ve got Flash(and many others) hurt or killed. He’s also a little paranoid of beings from other worlds and the (potentially) negative effects they can have.

Yeah his relation to Flash is something of The Overprotective Big Brother(not sure if I actually will go with sibling or cousin) and he’ll be starting in my story as an antagonist because he holds a deep grudge against Sunset Shimmer.

My take on pony magic that all pony are potentially capable of all magic, it’s just each one has their own specialties.(Earth ponies being partial to earth based magic like plant and ground manipulation, Pegasi favor weather magic like wind, rain, and lightning, and Unicorns specialize in ethereal magic like energy manipulation)
 
I kind of like the idea of Lightning Dust being related to Flash(if not as sibling, maybe a close cousins), but I always imagined her as having always been a trouble maker Flash has had to looked out for and bail out because he cares about her.

Pegasi kinda have some magic so that is pretty acceptable. I also made him inspired in fox mccloud since he had almost nothing of characterization

In my take he’s fast on the trigger. He can find his targets in a blink of an eye and is fast enough to go and find another sniper spot. He has some experience in close combat too, but it is as a sniper where he truly shines.
 
But i also headcanon him and lightning dust as siblings, so lightning is pretty much the close combat version of him (actualy, i am making a story with this headcanon so lightning being a twin shortsword master is very amazing. Thanks for the idea)

My personal take was twin shortswords. Weapons to match a speedy fighting style that would earn him the nickname “The Lightning Flash” Sentry.

It’s kind of a spear/axe hybrid. I think that makes it better.(more versatile)  
Also, it’d be even better if he could still play it like a guitar for music based magic.

Neat design. Love the axe. Always thought him as a spear guy. Polearms, either way.
