Almost every place hates idw for good reasons.
Because unfortunately that well has so thoroughly been poisoned that people (more often than not rightfully) associate ‘This can’t be canon because of discrepancies’ with ‘This can’t be canon because I say so’.
This. One can still criticize a thing you like. I’m pretty sure someone that likes a thing is probably more likely to criticize it than one who doesn’t care either way.

Yeah, I mean, take a look at the Star Wars franchise, before it was de-canonized, there were a lot of things that didn’t add up in the Expanded Universe. But no one said that pointing out the inconsistencies suddenly meant hating it.
Seriously, what’s the logic behind pointing out continuity errors suddenly meaning you hate something?
