Reminds me of the UFO-haunted Pony Point from Up Up and Away where the Glow’n’Shows appear .  
Also the unnamed forest location where Bon Bon almost falls to her doom in The Masquerade.
 
Sure sure, it was all G1 and Tales probably just shared a matte artist or two with & Friends, but I want to believe that the veil between the worlds is just really thin at places shaped like this. Rainbow bridges. Wormholes. Ley lines. Ancient pony aliens. You put the Glow’n’Shows in the middle of this stuff and you got all the answers.
