Yeah but that was back when it was relevant. It could have been an interesting reference.
 
I also remembered a comment from, I think, was Jim Miller saying Flash Sentry wasn’t going to appear at all outside of EqG but due to “requests”, he was added in the last minute to a few FiM episodes even if its just non-speaking cameos. So I’m pretty sure he’s not THAT hated.
 
I also just noticed the Crystal Empire is the home of both Flash Sentry and Sunburst who are apparently both stallions pegged with potential love interests Twilight and Starlight. Three stallions if you count Shining Armor who is already married. Maybe its not random why Cadence, the Princess of Love rules that particular part of Equestria.

I don’t know how I feel about that. He has a lot of fans now and it is obvious Twilight likes him in the show. It feels like his haters are the minority now; a very annoying minority.

I read a funny trivia about Flash Sentry. He was supposed to appear with a speaking role in Slice of Life where he asks Cranky why everyone (not everypony) hates him. Lol. I wish they added that in.
