Actually not too surprised. He had shown signs of someone who was not so rational in the head for years prior.

I don’t think he’s effecting the show, or receiving anymore favoritism then anyone else honestly.
 
In fact, his wife Sibsy doesn’t work on the show anymore, and even Mando is hardly involved in the brony fandom nowadays. How is he effecting the show?
 
In fact, honestly I see alot of undeserved hate for him too. (As some comments below prove.)
 
This character just looks like a parody of generic “pretty boy” characters in general, and given the limited ways to draw an “on-model” pony in-show, it seems to be a coincidence it looks similar to Mando’s character. (One could argue it looks like many other OCs out there. I’ve seen tons on DA that look like this.)

What bothered me about Mando was the impression of favoritism he received.
 
Being friends with show staffers is fine, dating and marrying one is fine… but having that give (perceived) “legitimacy” to one’s own work, or having it affect the show, is unseemly.
 
I can’t judge a whole lot, because I avoided a lot of this stuff. Calling him a pedo is out of line for sure. Hate is uncalled for. But, yeah, when I understood how he had this disproportionate support from official show staff, despite technically being just another fan, I definitely raised an eyebrow.

This was my first thought. Mandopony, not Justin Bieber. Green eyes, brownish hair and coat, musical abilities…

I’m with you. Honestly, I hate Justin Bieber, but I don’t hate Feather. He didn’t result being a jerk like some other characters (Blueblood and Svengallop are good examples).

He wasn’t, and why would that be so horrible? It’s not like he’d be the first/only fan in the show. (That pegasis with the ribbon, forgot her name, comes to mind.)
 
Seriously, what’s with the Mando-hate? If he looked like anyone else’s OC, nobody would care.

I was so terrified when watching this that it would turn out Feather was voiced by Mando.
