Chrysalis is hard to characterize. Really hard. She’s savage, ruthless, malicious and evil - yes. But in the end, she is a living being with wishes, dreams and hopes and I try to show that side of her. Had to make up lots of her background and Changeling society…

She better stay away from Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash would beat her to a pulp if she showed up. If Chrysalis is smart she will just let Dashie buck her into next week because if she actually managed to hurt Rainbow Dash I’ll have to get… creative.

So she ignores the potential for peaceful easy feeding for the hive over grief from her own loss. Quite a failure in royal duties, yet so very sympathetic. Sounds like someone needs tummy rubs.

I’m not scared of you, or your copy-cat ability. If the season finale was any indicator, then changelings can only replicate what someone looks like; personality takes work that you did not put into it. Oh - and if you exploit my brother, I’ll tear off your exoskeleton piece by piece.
 
 
Not sure if I agree with the fanon that Changelings can feed off of any emotion, or that Chrysalis has any redeeming qualities beyond caring for her subjects, but I do like her as a villain character.
