There already has been some discussion about it in the tagging board.  
Right now we’re waiting for the episode to air Globally before discussing it further so that no one would be spoiled by the name.

I figured the mods would realise this and fix it the moment Daybreaker was introduced, and I tend to avoid the forums like the plague, considering all the crazy stuff that goes on there. Heck, most of the time, I have more luck finding sensible feminists on Tumblr than finding useful stuff in the Derpibooru forums.

Then at least change the tag’s description to make a clear distinction between the two, rather than spark confusion, because right now, all it says is “Aliases: Nightmare Celestia, Solar Flare”. “Solar Flare” is entirely fan-made and “Nightmare Celestia” applies to Daybreaker just as much. Heck, even the Coloratura tag makes the distinction that “Countess Coloratura” is a stage name and “Rara” a nickname.
 
It seems like such a small, yet significant change to make just to avoid a lot of confusion, because without proper distinction, I and many others, will just asume Daybreaker and Nightmare Star are two names for the same thing.

How are they different, other than the fact that one is canon and the other is fan-made? Both are nightmare versions of Celestia, which is all that both of them are. If anything, every “Nightmare Star” image before Daybreaker’s debut is a “Hilarious in hindsight” case.
