My take on the MLP S7 episode “Honest Apple”… Since the episodes were being shown really early in Canada, I decided to wait until the US air date. Words hurt… literally…

I really love the moral of this episode, it shows that not everyone wants to hear the truth, especially in opinion-based products such as fashions, arts, movies, games, and most entertainment purpose stuffs.

It’s easy to be honest on technical stuffs because they are fact-based,
such as math and science (farming, AJ’s profession, is also science-related, especially for plant biology),
but in arts and entertainments (Rarity’s profession is art-related, especially fashion arts),
things are more different as they are more opinion-based,
saying the truth might put you in danger in those fields, the alternate and better way out is to praise even if you don’t think so.

It’s a little harder for autistic people to learn to avoid saying honest opinions and try to say praising even you don’t feel like it, not impossible but can be more tiring, hence fact-based professions tend to be much often easier.
