Childhood holidays on the Welsh coast in self-catering chalets, and they always had those meters you put a 10p coin in and turned a big key. I remember trying to time it so the meter ran out only on the day you left. I went back to one of the old places last year, a place near Tywyn, and it’s all free Wi-Fi and satellite TV in every apartment now. How times change!
