I don’t like that interpretation either. I’ve even heard a theory that its popularity in media corrupted people’s perceptive of marriage/love for the worst.
Both do.
“I told my wife she was pretty for a 40-year old. Too bad she’s a 25 year old.”
“I haven’t talked to my husband in three years. I don’t want to interrupt him.”
I’m saying, a huge amount of jokes come from the premise that both husband and wife can’t stand each other, and that’s an interpretation that I don’t like seeing implied with this married couple. It’s not displayed here, definitely, but on other pictures on the site, hence why I really enjoy images like this.

I thought it’s usually the wives that complain about the husbands, take me for example is I find a woman willing to put up with me.
How many jokes have you heard where the punchline is that the husband says the wife is terrible?
Didn’t know people thought that.
