Then, while she’s doing the assassination, she finds out that Deadeyes rigged the stage to explode if she tries anything funny. Rather than, say, try to figure out how the explosive works or make an effort to get her friend to safety before she sets off the bomb, she proceeds to just shoot him and then push Velvet off the stage /after/ she does the thing that triggers the bomb. Essentially she wantonly gambled Velvet Remedy’s life, and she survived mostly by dumb luck.
So yeah. She guilt-trips her violence-hating friend into helping her murder a dude she doesn’t like, and then demonstrates that she places a higher priority on the death of said dude than the safety of her friend.
@BillyColt: Congratulations, you just made the very same point about Littlepip’s reputation that Littlepip herself keeps making throughout the story. Yay for another brony who thinks like Littlepip.
I mean, compared to something like, say, The Walking Dead, the merry band of protagonists in FOE has it pretty cushy.
And if I’m going to be seeing a character being treated like she’s the messiah, it would kind of help if she acted the part. As it is, she kinda doesn’t.
Give it time. Give it time. You’ll see. But truth be told, the whole “Lightbringer” thing is a marketing stunt in-universe.
