Bull on no bad guys. And if your going to refer to 3 in stage play terms, use the term ‘Antagonist’ instead of bad guys. Bowser and his Koopalings were the antagonists for this. So yeah, there were ‘bad guys’ in SMB 3.

the whole thing was a stage play
all the background stuff is bolted on like stage props
they bow at the end and the curtain closes
