To be fair, most bands later/last albums suck. Out of 7 albums, only the first 2 Smash Mouth were decent, for example. Even most classic punk, grunge, and alternative bands like Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins and NOFX were better in their early days than later. I get the feeling maybe In Utero is different though. Gonna give it a listen straight through later today.
