Hopefully, the movie will at least give us an explanation as to why Discord can’t help.Like I’d even settle for a chunk of whatever that sucks out magic or something.

Princess Cadence looks smaller than Princess Luna on this frame, she could be a bit more behind to give this feeling but who knows… well so they do show up in the movie all is there to know left is why they leave before Tempest attack and as always only return when Mane6 has already saved the day.
 
Not only the princesses I also thought about the same thing about Discord, he isn’t even going to appear in the movie altogether which is hard to believe he wouldn’t go see bombs and storms and shit destroying Canterlot but oh well.

To be fair, renovating a throne room must cost a mint!
