Personally, I recoded screen with adb, when connected to PC through USB. Though, admittedly, it was KitKat, I dunno about newer versions.

“Root” means give Android’s users access to the system partition of their devices, being able to modify ANYTHING. Some apps needs root permision to work (like recording screen using CPU or a program to make full backups of your device, for example).

I’m using Android 6 (Marshmallow). On Android 5+ it’s posible to record the screen without root. That way is better than the rooted method.

As I said, Rank #16 and higher were dominated by big wallets and free gem hoarders. I didn’t have a shot anymore, because neither am I willing to invest money in this game nor have I hoarded all my free gems since starting with it.
 
And this is part of the general trend of paying for something in a video game, this is unfortunately rather common today.

Though, as epic as that looks, I wish Gameloft had included the BGM that played when they got their cutie marks…..  
Missed opportunity here.

But that is with you no lifing it and you still couldn’t get everything. It’s not a casual game anymore.. it’s a money driven competition that very few will win.

I can partially confirm this, after this past week I went through. I came up to Rank #16 with continous playing and by always being there once a foal had finished a task to collect the reward and let it start a new one. 
I could even hold this rank for seven hours and fifteen minutes on Day 4 (at least for me it’s Day 4, I got the update later than others, I speak of Saturday), until I failed at my second attempt at staged sleep only and slept too long, which is where I lost the rank and fell back to Rank #23. 
I got the rank back once, then got bumped down again almost immediately, then I tried to get it back for almost 24 hours, but it was to no avail and I couldn’t make any progress anymore. So I gave up in the middle of Day 6. 
Rank #16 and higher were definitely dominated by big wallets and free gem hoarders at this point, so I had no chance anymore.
 
Though, it IS possible to get Button Mash, if the game is played like I did. I could collect 25 out of 50 ballots for him and I would have gotten him if I could have downloaded the update two days earlier than I did.

Gameloft don’t view this as a casual game anymore…. it’s a timed competition where the highest paying people will win.
 
If you only play this casually you will never win any of their events unless you quite literally no life it. And even then you won’t get the top spots by a long shot.

I have never finished any of these Amazing Adventures either but I have seen it done on YouTube so I know it’s possible.

It was an odd quest since it started out with tasks that weren’t timed before the last part which was more like an “Amazing Adventure”. I guess if you know about the timed part in advance, you could prepare for it. In theory anyway.

I honestly couldn’t get Button Mash in this. They really don’t give enough time. I was playing it more than normal.

That was a very broken questline too. Numerous people said the quest wouldn’t progress or you simply couldn’t meet the deadlines so you were forced to miss out or pay money to get the extra characters.
 
But that was also because they knew noone could probably reasonably afford her, Discord, and Trixie and still afford to give them money for the questline. So they give you the freebee to get hooked, then tease you with the other characters and then give you impossible tasks and timelimits.
