That extra star was a one time animation error when she ascended, she hasn’t had the sixth star in any other scene since MMC. (apart from Twilight in the EQG universe where its intentional) 
 

So, minor changes.
 
-Ears are more defined.  
-Mane outlines now match the color of the mane.  
-Dash’s mane stripes are divided in a jagged pattern rather than smoothly.  
-Each stripe now leads back to where it’d connect to the head/tail dock, rather than being separated before that point.  
-Dash’s eyelashes are curved, not straight.  
-The curves where Dash’s wings divide into “feathers” are longer and match up to the “feathers” themselves.  
-Dash’s wings appear to have three “feathers”, while Twilight’s have five, indicating that her wings are larger.  
-Twilight’s mane stripes part around and to the left of her horn, rather than resting on its right.  
-The purple and pink stripes on the front of Twilight’s mane have been switched.  
-Twilight’s horn is longer and visibly indented where it spirals, rather than having a smooth outline.
 
And one potentially major change…
 
-Twilight’s cutie mark has lost the extra star it gained when she became an alicorn.

Actually, I think it was just her horn that got longer. Makes her look taller.

Yep, Alicorn Twilight is slightly taller than pre Alicorn Twilight, so no problem there.

Almost. The red-orange-yellow half of her mane and tail has an orange outline, while the green-blue-purple half has a blue outline. Still a major improvement.

The outlines for her mane and tail also matches the colors that they connect with instead being all blue. A nice little detail they have there.

I like how Dash’s hair looks kind of… shaggier, I guess. The separation of the colors is messier than in the show. It suits her.
