In all seriousness, we do need a new cast of Mane characters to focus. The Mane 6 have been the focus for 7 seasons now, their characters are pretty much fleshed out now.

If you don’t like the show having girls in it who aren’t dependent on boys, leave - last warning.
I’ll stop as this seems too controversial.  
Just wanna say that it was never about that.  
All I meant was that I wished the show didn’t shy away from including males in a main group.  
I never said I wanted girls to be…“dependent on boys” :(

Evidence points to the final member being either Daring Do or Lightning Dust, most likely the former with the latter possibly being the Shadow Pony from Castle Mane-ia. If we want to exactly mirror the old M6, then both, and we’ll need another earth pony. Then we could make the foal from Marks and Recreation who doesn’t want a cutie mark the Spike of the group.
