As it so stands, the region of Rojava is considerably ethnically mixed, while the prominent armed forces are Kurdish in base, they do take in quiet a few all comers. They stand as being more an ideological resistance against all or many forms of existing ideology in the region; believing in direct democracy, left-libertarianism, and environmental sustainability. They are fundamentally at odds with Assad, ISIS, and Erdogan.
 
Really, arguably they’re more in line with the show’s beliefs.

Speaking from personal experience, people who claim Godwin’s Law invalidates an argument are more than likely looking for a way to defend right wing ideology without the usual buzzwords and dogwhistles.

And last I checked Godwin’s Law doesn’t neccesarily mean that once Hitler or the Nazis are invoked the argument is lost. It is merely the longer an argument goes on the higher the over-all chance either are invoked.
