All too common. And god forbid friends didn’t need a reason to come over, but I’ve found as I’ve aged the only time my “friends” contact me is they require my help, money or something else. Never asking how I’m doing and never reply to my messages to hang out.

Reminds me of Sasori(Naruto) a puppetmaster who as a kid lost his parents in the war and designed puppets in their likeness and had them hold him.

That moment when you realize none of your friends visit anymore because they don’t need anything and you can’t help but wonder why that is.
