I approached the entire idea with a more grounded in reality feel, as mich as possible in a pony human world with super heroes could anyway. ;) the main line in the first season and comic pages I’m having done is, in fact, the power..and the pain…of decisions we make.
 
Sunset has had ten years to think over her actions. She seems to have come to terms with at least some of it by this moment. Doesn’t stop the PTSD though. Thanks for the read!

Soooo the whole comic isn’t gonna turn into that scene in Gantz where the heroes navel gaze about morality and “sacrifice our pacifism” while a dude is literally mauled, right?

While somber and a bit of a dampener on the cathartic, wish-fulfillment ‘fun’ of the thing, I do enjoy this sort of approach to the subject of ‘heroism’, especially for someone like Sunset. “Consequences for decisions” is a pretty sane, grounded way to look at getting violent and indulging the urge to harm those one doesn’t like, no matter how ‘deserving’ they are at the time. It’s less “The day is saved!” and more “Do you like hurting other people?”
 
At least Sunset seems to have learned something, because while it looks like she was charging up a fireball at the start there, she didn’t torch her alarm clock. :3
