Rainbow: weeping silently
Rarity: “Rainbow Dash, are you crying?”
Rainbow: wipes her face “N-no! Shut up!”
Rarity: “Somepony’s getting emotional at her daughter’s wedding%”
Rainbow: “N-no I’m not, I swear!”
Rarity: “If you say so%”
Rainbow: “…Rarity, am I a bad mom?”
Rarity: “What? Heavens no! Why would you even consider such a thing?”
Rainbow: “I-it’s just…she thinks I’m disappointed in her. I’ve spent years trying to get her to be an athlete when we know she can’t. I made her feel like a failure when really, I’m the failure!”
Rarity: “Rainbow Dash, you are not a failure! Paint is the lovely mare she is today because of you! You must be proud of that!”
Rainbow: “I am proud of her! But that’s all Soarin! He encouraged her to be awesome in her own way while I just tried to make her my perfect kid! You should be proud of him!”
Rarity: “Darling, how could you call yourself a failure when I hear Paint say such wonderful things about you? She praises you far more than she does Soarin!”
Rainbow: “…She does?”
Rarity: “Why of course, darling! All the time I hear her go on and on about how much she loves and admires you!”
Rainbow: “Wow…but still, how could she love me that much when you’re the better parent here? You never made your kids hate themselves!”
Rarity: “Me? A better parent? Darling, you don’t know the beginning of it. I have said plenty of things I shouldn’t have, especially to Roy. But we made up, moved on, and learned from our little mistakes. That’s all that matters!”
Rainbow: chuckles bitterly “Well, I have a lot of catching up to do…”
Rarity: “Never too late to start, darling. I am here whenever you need it!”
Rainbow: “Thanks, Rares. I owe you one.”
Paint: starts stepping into the carriage to take her to her honeymoon
Rainbow: “No, wait! Don’t go!” rushes over to Paint and clings to her, sobbing
Rarity: chuckles “Oh, darling, never change~”
