Maybe this is like the issue where we saw what the animals were up to in Fluttershy Leans In? Like the episode will show the events from Pinkie's/ or Dash's perspective while the issue will show it from the other's?
 
Since you brought it up this reminds me of how the comics spoiled the "Pinkie is honorary yak" thing like a month before we found out that was an actual title. Damn my heart can't take all this foreshadowing!
