I don’t know if it was foreshadowing, I think the comics just get made and pushed out quicker than episodes.
Maybe this is like the issue where we saw what the animals were up to in Fluttershy Leans In? Like the episode will show the events from Pinkie or Dash’s perspective while the issue will show it from the other’s?
Since you brought it up this reminds me of how the comics spoiled the “Pinkie is honorary yak” thing like a month before we found out that was an actual title. Damn my heart can’t take all this foreshadowing!

To the point where I’m pretty sure this actually spoils the episode in some way, takes place after it, or is a re-imagining of it. Like, the synopsis of the episode says that Pinkie Pie fears RD hates her pies and this openly says that yes, RD does. So does it take place after, like Yakyakistan arc?
