K kats writings I think if red eyes had been allowed the knowledge of the single Pegasus project and the Gardens of Equestria he would have done exactly the same if not better then little pip. I guess what disappointed me or at least pushed me towards supporting the “Bad guy” over little pip was her destruction of order in a chaotic wasteland and her hypocrisy at the S.P.P. she through out the books destroys any and all forms of order with in the wast land and then leaves a power vacuum and as nature states any vacuum will be filled given enough time possibly by worse ponies unfortunately. Then their was her controversial seizing of the S.P.P. having stated that it was time for “mommy Pip and daddy Red eyes” to let the waste land make its own decisions she then turned around and mommies the wasteland literally becoming the very God ruler she swore she wouldn’t let Red Eyes be.at least that is my take whats your thoughts?
There’s a very fine line between the two - which I actually appreciated as far as development went.
Red Eye is a very easy character to dislike for his use of slavery and brutality, but his motives are pretty understandable in a place like the Wasteland. It’s really only through the influence and support of everyone she met and helped that Littlepip didn’t end up exactly like him.
I was still really glad when Chapter 43 rolled around and capped that arc off.
This is probably my favorite interpretation of him so far.
