Well, she didn’t die when she was turned into a statue. But being shattered into pieces after being petrified is certainly death.

If he took the photo close up enough to the wall and with the flash off (and with a good enough camera), it’s entirely possible there wouldn’t be glare. Besides, we know that there’s a wall display up at SDCC (thanks to the Rarity and Capper photo: >>1491361), and how else do you explain the seam that’s present in three of the photos?
