Writers aren’t in charge either. The names of people we see under “written by” in each episode, those guys were just told by their bosses on which characters to write about.

We also don’t know how involved Meghan has even been in the show the past few seasons. I mean she’s had like maybe 2 writing credits since S5, and her biggest involvement has been in the movie

I would think that he has more purpose than that, since the show swaps writers often, and he ans Meghan would be in charged of making sure that everything fit in the MLP universe.

If its going to be canon, I want it to sneak up on people. There will be little to no build up to it. Y’know, like they always do when developing Starlight. It’ll be a series finale montage. Twilight is visiting her friends and we see what they’re doing with their lives. RD continues her career with the Wonderbolts, Rarity’s dress business continues to become a success, AJ’s still growing apples… And then we get to Starlight.
 
Twilight visits the Crystal Empire. She goes to Sunburst’s house and knocks on his door but Starlight’s the one that answers. She lets Twilight in and sees Sunburst rocking a crib with a sleeping baby pony in it. Its implied they’ve continued their magic studies together for a while now. Magic is, after all, the talent given to them by their cutie marks. Its also implied that they are now new parents of their own foal. Happy end.
 
Its either that or Starlight becomes an alicorn princess, gains her own subjects and lives in her own castle as the new princess of “empathy”. Lol. Not you, Sunset Shimmer who literally has the magical power to empathized with people just by touching them. Lol.
