“YOU THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME!? ME!?” Nightshade roars, the light in the room dying as the crystals jutting from her body seem to absorb all the light, along with all the heat in the room. “Me?” She whispers, her voice echoing as if from a long distance, pink mist drifting from her mouth and nose, as her eyes vanish behind a veil of pink energy. “I… am the Captain of the Shadowbolts. The strongest, meanest, toughest mare in the world.” She takes a step forward, her breath labored from both the blood-loss and the crystals jutting from her chest. “I will not fall. I will not fall to you… to the Shadowy puppet master who thinks he controls me… to Descent… to… to…” Her voice dies off as she focuses on breathing, aiming a glare at the ponies slowly backing away form her.
