Or it could take decidedly “Majora’s Mask” turn (dialogue added because pinecones).
“I’ll help you, but you have to do things for me as well. I’ll make you strong, and you’ll help me to regain my strength in turn.
Too tired, beat up, and generally defeated to help me anymore? I’ll toss you aside and leave you to rot while I proceed with my own plans.”
>she pretends to be angry when really she’s greatful and leaves again.
I want that scene except Twi calls her a liar. Trixie is shocked -> they both smile -> Trixie moves to Ponyville.
/fanwank
If this is all of her own volition, then again, I want her to be more than just a cheap bad guy. She’s always been set up as a foil for Twilight, and I maintain she wasn’t fully responsible for what happened in Boast Busters. Twilight’s had everything good in her life handed to her on a silver platter, whereas Trixie’s implied to be pretty down on her luck. A terrible pony or not, maybe she feels she has to defeat Twilight to prove to herself that just because she isn’t as lucky as Twilight doesn’t make her any less capable.
That’s as good a motive as any: The whole Trixie Town thing is just her rubbing things in, but she couldn’t care any less about what anypony thinks about her anymore. She’s in it to prove her worth to herself.
Kind of like how Voldemort wanted to subjugate the wizardinf world to prove he was the greatest wizard of them all, because as an orphan he had no life and nothing to stand for. Still evil, but, you can’t necessarily argue with his reasoning either. It’s the only thing that could bring him any kind of fulfillment.
Holy shit do I ramble on. tl;dr: Trixie should be a morally gray villain, for the sake of better drama. No reason why kids shouldn’t be made to think a little harder. The average bully, after all, is usually more tormented than you are.
A little.
But I could see it being acceptable if she, after being freed from the magic, pretends to be angry when really she’s greatful and leaves again.
“Hey I bet you could get some magic. You need more magic. With it you can get everything you wanted. Fame.
You need more fame. Everyone all appreciative!
And pine cones. You’re going to need a feast. Pine cones!”
Can you imagine the horror? Sombra!Trixie is finally defeated and the pendent is shattered, and she wakes up… Surrounded by all the ponies that destroyed her life, in the place her dreams were ruined. The force of Trixie shitting herself will hit 10.0 on the Richter scale.
You’re late dude =D
I will genuinely like Trixie if this is what happens.
