Alright so this is the 2nd comic for the double episodes we got. Older ponies this time. I decided to space these 2 Episode comics out a day apart so one wouldn’t get lost in a double stack of messages. Also it’s just gives me an excuse to be lazy and have to not type so much in one sitting like this….what…this isn’t school work…well soon it will be when I take a fall course but that’s aside the point. As for this one, as I said in the last comic pretty much all the comics here on out for the seasonal ones were pretty much completely about 2 months or so ago give or take so some of these are gonna look different as I was beginning to push my newer style at this time. :) The muffin is also in this one.
 
 
So this was a funky comic. This was one of the rare season comic synopsis we got basically just before S7 and I knew this was one of the sure fire comic ideas I had and almost didn’t even need a synopsis to figure out what to do for this episode. This was probably the easiest comic for me to come up with an idea for this season…and I can say that since I am currently finishing up my S7 comic with the S7 finale comic I just started. The funny thing is was this was about the time I begun to play around with the new style and the Applebloom there was kind of my first test subject. I knew since this was a few years down the road I would be aging up Applebloom so this was a good chance to play with once again an order design of her. :) Looking back on this after about 2 months of letting it sit…it looks a little odd but again this was just the first of a big style chance I was arcing on till today. :P I swear though I LOOOOOOOVE putting Derpy in seasonal comics. I don’t seem to put her in a lot but for some reason S7 I been lucky enough to come up with a good chuck of comics to put her in. Even comics where I had to resort to a Derpy/Spitfire comic for a season comic idea all are so much fun cause best pony is best pony to work on. ;) I actually think this is the first time I actually ever made Derpy in her official mail uniform we saw from the S6 finale. I wouldn’t mind have putting this on a pin actually for conventions but alas….that’s not meant to be unless I do it online. We’ll see. For now I just like how the BGs and the flow of this comic works. It’s so simple of an idea but it works so damn well and I was surprised even 2 months after this episode aired no one took this obvious comic idea. Maybe it was too obvious.
 
 
Whatever the case I do like how it turned out. I had fun with it even though Sweet Apple Acres backgrounds are quickly becoming my most pain in the ass backgrounds to work on and ones I absolutely hate to make as they are so time consuming and I don’t do 2 backgrounds alike ever as I start from scratch on them. Trust me….that particular BG gives me the most trouble lately and I still am not too sure why it’s been so much over the last year. :fear: So….that’s all for now. As I said keep an eye out soon cause I the ponies will start to have a shift in how they look to a more hybrid style of my own mixed with Baron-Engel and a slight hint of Aytrl but that is minimal like hair outlines for lineart ideas. So yup….onward to the unknown now and EP 14 next week.
