not going to lie, I hear stories like this all the time, especially with bitcoin, someone buys a bit of it for weed or some other drug, never got around to completing the transaction, then remembers that in total they had 17 million dollars on a hdd for a computer they threw away.
 
If I had a story like this, i would just kill myself. I couldn’t go on knowing I had a chance like that and just giving it up.
