Not really, or haven’t you noticed 70% of the pictures you can’t get the full version of? Not to mention the absolutely HORRIBLE site design? And it’s very clunky. And a lot of the time when you’re browsing it loads the LARGEST POSSIBLE VERSION FIRST

all the ammonia is on the surface, so there’s no chance of that. The only refrigerant/gas underground is small aircon systems and… i think they have some coldrooms there too.  
its not a gold mine. they mostly get copper from it, but also lead, zinc and a little bit of silver.

Actually, im a ‘refrigeration mechanic’.  
Basically, the mine is so deep it needs air blown down just so they can breathe down there. My job is to make sure those fans work, but we’ve also got a refrigeration system that cools the air as it goes down. That cooled air is the difference between comfortable temperature and heatstroke (aussie outback temperature an all).  
Oh, and we also cool the drinking water as its sent down too.
