(Lance shifted on his hooves nervously, waiting for the doors to the Castle to open - Finally, the door opened, and Lance’s eyes widened as he saw Captain [And Prince] Shining Armor stepping towards him)
 
Shining: Ice Lance, good to see you.
 
Lance: It’s a pleasure to be here, sir; You don’t know how much of an honor this is.
 
Shining: You don’t even know what I called you here for. *chuckling*
 
Lance: Still, it’s an honor to be called to your castle personally. *bows his head*
 
Shining: *smiles* Come with me. *turns and enters the castle*
 
Lance: *nervously follows Shining Armor into the castle*
 

 
Shining: So, I’m sure you’re wondering why I called you here?
 
Lance: Yes, I am.. But whatever it is, I will accept and do my very best to succeed!
 
Shining: I like to hear that; That’s why I chose you for this task. *opens the door to the throne room*
 
Lance: *Lance’s eyes widen again, seeing the room sparkle and three of the most beautiful mares in the Kingdom sitting on their thrones watching them enter* I.. Uh.. Wow.
 
Shining: Lance, I’m sure you already know my wife Cadence, and my two daughters; Flurry Heart and Euphony.
 
Lance: I.. Yes, of course. Good evening, Princesses. *bows* It’s an honor to officially meet you all.
 
Cadence: The honor is ours, Ice Lance! I’ve heard wonderful things about you.
 
Lance: *blushes a bit at Cadence’s kind words* T-thank you, Princess!
 
Shining: Lance, stand up. *laughing* As for why I called you here; Euphony, please come down here.
 
Lance: *stands up and stares at Euphony in awe as she walks up*
 
Shining: Lance, I called on you because I would like you to be Euphony’s personal body guard.
 
Lance: Per-per-personal body guard?! Wait, what are you-
 
Shining: As you know, the Crystal Empire has been a target for many threats in the past. Now that my daughters are older, they are more at risk of something happening to them. I already have somepony planned to stay by Flurry’s side, but I needed to find somepony to watch out for Euphony when we aren’t around.
 
Lance: And.. you really think that highly of me? To trust me to protect your own daughter?!
 
Shining: Yes. I do. You’ve done an amazing job since you came to the Empire.. You’ve more than proven your worth.
 
Euphony: *walks up beside him and smiles* Hi, it’s nice to meet you.
 
Lance: *blushes and look away, a little embarressed* Nice to, uh, meet you too… Princess. *thinking to himself - “Oh my- Is this really happening? How, why, what do I say?! Oh gosh, she’s looking at me!”*
 
Euphony: Are, you alright? *giggling a bit*
 
Lance: Y-Yes! *gasped a bit louder than he intended* I, uh, yes, I am. Sorry… And yes, Shining Armor, I will gladly take this mission. I vow to protect Princess Euphony with my life, if need be.
 
Shining: I wouldn’t expect any less of you. *smiles*
