I simply misremembered the line in question. I am in fact a young Wisconsinite woman of German and British decent.
“Lucia di Lammermoor” looked Italian or Spanish to me. Combined with the error pointed out in the image, (a common type of error among those who do not claim English as their primary language) it seemed a likely possibility to me. I am guessing I was mistaken in my guess?

Looking at the name, I would venture a guess that English is not his first language, so it was probably a mis-translation.
