This scene wasn’t featured in the film. And we can only assume that this concept art for the movie took place before the events of the movie. We also see Cloudsdale and the Crystal Empire in the picture. And I would agree that the Storm King and his Storm Army fully conquered, destroyed, and ruled both Cloudsdale and the Crystal Empire and punished, enslaved, captured, arrested, and seized all who lived in both the Cloudsdale and the Crystal Empire. Especially Flash Sentry, Shining Armor, Flurry Heart, Zepyhr Breeze, Fluttershy’s parents, and Rainbow Dash’s parents. And it may be odd or possible that Cloudsdale would collapse during the Storm King’s tyranny like in Rainbow Dash’s possible vision created by Discord in the season two premiere two-parter, “The Return of Harmony”, and when the Crystal Empire would fall and be ruled by the Crystal Empire by the Storm King just like what King Sombra did 1,000 years ago. Looks like the Storm King had a little bit of inspirations to King Sombra when he ruled the Crystal Empire offscreen during the events of the movie.

Everything in her castle seems really sharp and pointy. I’d be afraid to touch anything.

Wow! Seeing the art of this is really making me want to see the movie more, I can see the Crystal Empire in the background past Canterlot! :D

You know what tag there really should be? And “Official” tag because I can’t ever tell what is fan works and what is official hasbro works anymore.
 
After seeing the new castle in the movie and how it looks compared to the current castle in the show, this picture makes a whole lot of sense. Twilight must of got in some crazy architect mood and decided to revision her castle, hence all the blueprints.

Someone should make that desk a reality!
