Honestly, I hate these kinds of UIs. It looks nice, but practically, it would slow things down.

Its just an animation simulation and we all dont know if this will become a reality or not and even if there is the option to Disable the animations or Changing the animation speed.

I’m just putting it out there. Personally, I feel like Derpibooru would be better as an app, sort of like Steam. I am completely serious.

I understand. The offer is still available, should you guys wish to do business in the future, if the site lasts long and doesn’t die out for a number of reasons. I know keeping the servers running isn’t cheap in the slightest.

Pretty, but I’m partial to minimalism and having content and interactables load immediately, fluff later.

Such animations only cause trouble from my experience. And I do not have the patience for this.

Just like you, we’re not lacking ideas, but the developer-time needed to make them a reality. More ideas wouldn’t do much to help with that.

Also this design concept doesn’t get all touch with the original Derpibooru style. Rounded borderless typeareas and light letters on the light background. Generally speaking, Derpibooru is already very beautiful, I don’t think that we need to break it’s appearance with some strange trendy animations shit.

I had an idea for a Derpibooru-esc application one would use for basically all things pony-related. I won’t get into too much info, since it’s still a good idea, but this was nearly exactly what I had imagined for a login page, just not Derpibooru.
 
Lots of ideas, and no time to make them a reality.
 
I’m willing to sell my ideas for said application, and continue to provide more, for a flat fee we can negotiate later, if the devs of Derpi so choose. I can give a sample as to what those ideas include in a business meeting, if that is to be requested.

Good point! Would be awesome if there’s an option to disable all of the transitions.

But what would the huge full-screen animations accomplish other than slow down the login process pointlessly and eat up lots of CPU/GPU cycles?
 
I’m one of those who turn off all transitions and animations I can, and just want the thing be immediately usable.
