Yasei Urami(野生 怨み, meaning “Wild grudge”)
(This is Ira’s Onryousona.)
Personality: Yasei tends to be a bit prejudiced and is very hard to become friends with. During Slice-of-life, she tries to stay away from everypony as much as possible and is very passive. Most of the time she will blankly stare into space. She has a lot of anger cropped up inside that she takes on inanimate objects when nopony’s looking. As soon as War starts, however, she will go full out and turn into a crazed and rageful maniac. She particularly hates ponies who wallow in self-pity and hunger for attention all the time, and may not always be able to keep her anger cropped up until the end of Slice-of-life. So if Suru suddenly disappears early in the game, Yasei probably kidnapped her to torture her very, very slowly, where nopony can hear her scream. Yasei also has Tourettes Syndrome, and gets bullied over the way her head twitches sidewards.
She is obsessed with scary things because she likes playing with others’ minds, and may not always take the quickest route to killing somepony. Instead, she will haunt and stalk them, driving them paranoid, or she will chase them down the non-Euclidean school basement. Yasei always carries a music box with her because she hates the sound they make, since they remind her of the innocence and purity of young ones. This disgusting sound feeds her anger.
Deathly Trait: She often bites her tongue, as a small manifestation of her urge to devour herself, as well as due to her avoidance of talking to other ponies. Sometimes she would chew so hard that her tongue gets completely eaten. Then she won’t speak for a few days until her tongue grows back.
In one cycle, she was caught by the grownups for suspected murder of Suru. Instead of confessing she chewed up her tongue and spit the bloody mess to the principle’s face.
Death: Yasei ran away from home because her parents were abusive. Eventually, she hid in an abandoned, small building to have a safe place to sleep. However, when she woke up she found out that it was locked from the outside, so she was stuck inside the building. An attempt to escape only caused some debris to fall down in such a way that the light was completely blocked out. So there she sat, alone, in the dark, without food, without water. She was afraid of the dark at that point, and couldn’t sleep. Insomnia worsened and together with the isolation it slowly made her go twisted. And in the end, she overcame her fear of the dark by loving it and embracing it. But that didn’t take away that she was in a perfect void and couldn’t see anything. And on her search for food or water, all she found was her own hoof. And she was fine with that. It didn’t even seem to hurt her. Less than a week later, her corpse was found inside the building. Her front hooves were gnawed off to the point that bone was visible, completely licked clean. There was even some flesh still between her teeth.
Fighting Style: Yasei does not take the most efficient killing method, but try to make the victim as fearful as possible during the killing process. As an example, she might murder a classmate by leading them at midnight to the town’s clock tower, then squeeze their head out of a hole near the center of the clock face (it’s important that it’s in the center, because: 1. torque and force considerations 2. it makes the dying process last a long time). Yasei talks about how their worst fear is dying slowly and then leaves, leaving them to be slowly decapitated during a 30 minute period.
During BR, Yasei fights with a board (usually collected from a school table) with a bunch of nails stuck through it at one end, making for an improvised spiked blunt weapon. As she kills more ponies over the course of BR, she will start to tape sharpened unicorn horns to it. If she goes more insane during early BR than usually, she may also start hanging pegasus feathers from it. From each pony she kills, she severs at least one limb to hang outside the library to intimidate trespassers.
However, her creepy/violent behaviour during slice-of-life makes her a wanted target for many other ponies, so if unprepared it is possible for her to die very early during BR or during War. But if she is well-prepared or manages to find out and kill all important friend circles, she can survive for a very long time.
She does not mind eating other ponies; if she ends up in the endgame the will to survive overtakes her will to frighten, so she will kill the easiest possible target and drag the corpse off to a quiet hideout, where she will continue to feed on the corpse. While she is usually found and killed, she sometimes wins the game by either outstarving everypony else or eating the final survivors.
Relation with Suru Tonshi: Yasei hates Suru deeply, so in her notebook, Suru’s entry would be heavily underlined and there is a small fold in the corner of the page she’s on, so that she can immediately access it when needed and/or add things to it. If she manages to abduct Suru during Sol without anypony else noticing, she will confine her in her ‘burrow’. She would build a tree house if it weren’t for the fact that she’s bad at it and doesn’t like heights. As such, she went the other way around by digging a hole in the ground big enough to make a small room and make that her secret base of operations during Sol.
It’s exact location changes for each cycle, but it is always near a tree (so that the roots help to prevent it from collapsing, together with some random tall objects from the local junkyard. We need a junkyard just outside of town. It would allow for a lot of new strategies, desperate/impulsive actions of “must find food” and new improvised weapons.)
Once Suru has been confined there, the chance is slim that anypony would still find her. If she is found before or while Yasei tortures her, Yasei will either be publicly executed or killed by the ponies that consider themselves Suru’s friends. There is also the possibility that the base is poorly built and collapses, killing Suru immediately (and Yasei too if she is inside at that moment).
Yasei would gag Suru with an apple and from there on only refer to her as ‘pig’. The apple will be pushed in deep enough for Suru’s frail lower jaw to be dislocated. She would then slowly slice off one of her limbs with a dull and rusty knife (junkyards are amazing) but because it takes so long, she would probably only do it halfway and then pull the rest off before binding the wound off as to keep Suru conscious while she feasts on the cut off limb in front of her. She would do this same thing to other body parts too until Suru dies of shock due to blood loss.
“Hmmm, what else do you not need…” Yasei examinated the sickly pony, who could only let out muffled groans through the apple in her mouth. Saliva ran in copious amounts down the chin of her dislocated jaw.
“Your ears! They can’t stand up straight! Oh, you poor, poor thing! I can’t imagine the doctor not removing them earlier. They look like they might rot off any moment. Shall I play for doc, then?”
She grabbed Suru’s head with both hooves and violently slashed at the ear, missing it by half an inch. Blood spurted into her face as she let go. A crimson hole adorned Suru’s skull, the body twitching the last bit of its life out. Yasei shrugged.
“Close enough.”
