Crosswind is the first child of Rainbow Dash and Zephyr Breeze. She grew up with both of her parents in Cloudsdale. She currently resides in Cloudsdale as a freelance writer. Crosswind aspires to be a world famous author one day.
 
Windy was always a shy mare. In school, she always worked hard academically, but she was never involved with the other students. She kept to herself, writing short stories and reading her Daring Do books. Her closest friends, Starswirl, Strawberry Cheesecake, and her cousin Jinx helped her come out of her shell, resulting in her becoming more outgoing as a young adult.
 
 
Relationships:  
Crosswind greatly admires her mother and her accomplishments. However, the two don’t really click. Rainbow Dash expected Windy to be a daredevil who could someday join her in the Wonderbolts. When her daughter ended up being dork with little athletic ability, it took a long time for her to adjust to this reality. But now, Dashie encourages Crosswind everyday and loves her for the book nerd that she is. Nevertheless, the one thing they both share a passion for Daring Do books. They could rattle on about A.K. Yearling all day.
 
Crosswind is the definition of “daddy’s girl”. She and Zephyr Breeze spend a great deal of time together, bonding over their creative tendencies. Windy loved getting her mane styled by her father and styling his hair in return. At night, Crosswind would always snuggle up with her dad when her mom read her bedtime stories. Currently, Crosswind is still closest with her father, preferring to hangout with him over her mother and brother. She loves the rest of her family dearly, but she just clicks with her dad more.
 
When it comes to her brother, Stormbolt, Crosswind tends to have a love/hate relationship with him. He is much more flashy and much louder than she is. Stormy teases her a lot, and it constantly gets on her nerves. Her brother also gets along with their mother more than she does, and sometimes, she is jealous over that fact. But she has grown to tolerate his antics, no matter how obnoxious he is.
 
Crosswind had a very special relationship with Starswirl before he left for Canterlot. They read books together, studied together, and laughed together. Their dorky personalities matched up so well. For a long time, they dated each other, and Crosswind genuinely thought that they’d be together forever. However, Starswirl’s ambition for power and his desire to become a prince eventually ended their romantic relationship. It left Crosswind heartbroken, but she put on a brave face and pretended like she was okay with the breakup, not wanting to cause drama. It took her a long time to get over him.
 
 
Special:  
-Crosswind pretty much always wears her hair in a bun, just like her father. She is rarely seen with her hair down.
 
-Her favorite book genre is adventure and mystery.
 
-Crosswind had an extremely hard time getting over Starswirl when he dumped her and left for Canterlot. However, now, she seems to have an eye for a certain, green-eyed Wonderbolt.
