There should have been another scene at the bottom, with the Imperial Guard group Twilight’s just saved cheering, but I didn’t get around to drawing it. Edited the sheet instead after I’d scanned it, and moved the last scene over.

Under 7th, which this was written during, Warhounds had 2 void shields. Any glancing hit would bring a shield down.
The maths.
Multi laser is strength 6. Then you add a D6 and try to match,(glance) or beat,(penetrate) 12. So a 6 will bring a shield down.
At least my own story stays within the limits of what can be achieved using the rules. I’ve read one where a marine penetrates the armour on a Necron Monolith with a power sword.
Same maths.
Strength 4 vs armour 14.
…..
So he’s just rolled a 6 sided dice and scored 11 on it has he?
Yep, they were brought down by the Guard’s multilasers a couple of pages earlier.

In game, any glancing or penetrating hit takes a shield down. That means a multilaser needs a 6 to glance after hitting. Lucky, but do able.
The only guy with a Las cannon then got a lucky hit on the mount for the Plasma Blastgun, hence it being smoking here.
