Twilight tends to be most huggy with Starlight nowadays, but she is in general fairly reserved in affection except to Flurry Heart and when she’s feeling a rush of emotion as would be expected.

Like, I hesitate to say anything, but aside from murder I can’t think of much I wouldn’t do if it could somehow achieve that.
 
And yeah, I do mean it: I am working towards it. It’s just… mmmaaannn. It’s really hard to find someone who’d share my interests and all. Equestria seems to have two more young single mares like this than Earth (Moondancer and Twi).
 
Pones who could understand me and my passions and all. Who wouldn’t make me feel alienated when I get excited about something really technical or sciency, and not just someone that’s excited for me, but someone who’s excited with me… ya’know?

I hear ya. I didn’t mean to imply that I wouldn’t like “bae” cuddling me in the mornings, either. Perhaps I should have worded it differently.

I can’t honestly remember the last time Twi initiated a hug to someone other than Moondancer or Spike.
 
She hugged Starlight at the end of the time travel one, and Flutters at the end of the Hooffields and Mccolts, but surely she’s hugged somepony since then? Starlight in Celestial Advice?
 
I kinda like that she might be getting more huggy, though.
