Technically speaking, the best thing it’s going to look like is a Neighborhood Watch, until we start getting actual military equipment.
 
Then that goes into the realm of legality. We would technically have illegal equipment, but we wouldn’t be using it on US citizens. Then there would come the questions of, “Why not join the US military instead?”
 
Circumvent all that by just having civilian-approved weapons. The best we’re gonna get is AR-15’s and M24’s. Not bad, but certainly won’t stop any attacking forces.
 
This would probably only work in the US.
