That was just me venting, so I already did. There are some things in episodes I really hate; everyone’s got something. But thanks for asking.

Josh Haber expects me to believe that magic can let people travel through time, materialize matter from thin air, travel into each others’ dreams, turn into other species, clone themselves, change their age, and regrow TEETH, but growing hair is just too complicated? All of those things like FUCKING TIME TRAVEL are less complicated than growing hair? 2 beings on par with immortal deities combined can’t do it? It’s so insulting. It does not make sense for growing hair to be that complicated. Even though we’ve seen ponies use spells to grow mustaches. That’s such a bullshit plot contrivance. So Josh Haber could protect the conflict from the obvious solution of “Twilight is super powerful and knows spells for everything. Why can’t Rarity just ask her to grow it back?”

What?

Something I find funny about this whole episode is that back in My Little Pony ’n Friends (a.k.a. G1) Ponies could just regrow their manes magically without any effort on their part. This is demonstrated in the episode The Glass Princess.

I doubt Rarity will. She might want to reconsider before going to the Crystal Empire unless she wants to be thrown in their cell.

Crystal Empire Police Department spent months (and thousands of tax-payer bits) trying to solve this case. They didn’t succeed.
 
Years later, Twilight hears about the case and suddenly gets very nervous.

Also there is the issue of the hundreds or thousands of now bald ponies after the last spellcasting. That was A LOT of hair.
