I’m pretty sure Hollowfox does watch and likes Steven Universe and Star vs. The Forces of Evil quite much - he wrote “saddly”, as he thinks (with justification) that Rebecca and Daron Nefcy are just to busy now with their own shows, to write for Equestria Girls or Friendship is Magic, especially for more than a guest episode.

Sadly? Those are both really good shows! You should give them a try if you haven’t already.

Yeah. Sadly they’re busy with Steven Universe and Star vs. The Forces of Evil. And most of the writers give the female ones (let alone the Mane 6, Sunset and Starlight (slightly)) more development because target demographic lol.

Oh ok, I understand.
 
To be fair though, in Friendship is Magic itself, male characters get more focus (ie Spike, Discord, Torax, Shinning Armor Bright Mac (with the depiction of Bright Mac’s romance with Apple Pear being very well recieved in fandom) etc, and episodically even background characters like Snails).
 
But to be clear I agree that Rebecca Sugar and/or Daron Nefcy writing for Equestria Girls or Friendship is Magic would be awesome!

Good. Is just that I don’t want this spin-off to teach little girls to be misandrists just because the fandom hates Flash Sentry (just like the fandoms of most shonen manga franchises like Naruto.)

I thought like that because in Friendship Games, Sunset doesn’t give a shit about Flash Sentry as she is focused on winning the Friendship Games and “betraying” Twilight (when in reality she is a counterpart who looks like her and she reformed her in the end when Abacus Cinch, despite being a coward when Midnight was revealed, was responsible for Twilight being in the Shadowbolts and stealing their magic)
 
Also, Sci-Twi has no feelings for Flash and falls in love with Timber Spruce which makes me worry that she will hate both Princess Twilight and Sci-Twi since both are look-alikes despite being different.
 
The fandom wouldn’t hate him if people like Rebecca Sugar or Daron Nefcy would team up with Meghan McCarthy to write this spin-off films/specials so characters of both genders can be developed, even if this was aimed at girls.

Why Equestria Girls was to be misandrist?
 
Maybe part of the fans, kinda in the fan way they hate male character (kinda like fangirls, and maybe some fanboys hate female characters in works with a largelly male cast, ie Yugioh, especially the originall) - this is how you could view Flasjh’s hateers - but I don’t think a large by any means group/part of the fans is outright misandrist, at least not overtly…
 
Also, the short is most prbably canon - at least nothing implies otherwise.

If this short was canon to the films and specials of EqG, then I am glad they aren’t misandrist. (TexasUberAllies, if you’re reading this please be nice I don’t want any drama with you just because you don’t think the word misandrist makes your eyes roll just because I use it when it comes to the Flash Sentry hatedom.)

Flash looks kinda jealous, maybe as he had something going on again with Sunset, but then Sci-Twi appeared, and then she got all of Sunset’s attention XD.
