No - the towel is below the table.  
Stop thinking in terms of close colors and think in terms of object individuality. Look at the lines.  
The towel is under the table, his hoof hooks on to the towel and brings up on to the table, to sweep the disgusting, cutie mark implicated cake off the table, in to the perfect equality bin.

Side note - I was horribly disappointed that the episode did not build upon Starlight’s manifesto joke.  
But I still love the show, and am able to understand an overlook and continuation of the storyline. Unlike many retarded posters that freak out because they can’t comprehend complexity above two characters standing next to each other.||
