I think we all know a seven year old’s birthday is the sort of thing The Pink One would find some way to get involved in.
I was actually searching for fan art of Dexter’s Laboratory, when I happened to come across a number of MLP crossover/parody art. This one in particular:
This one caused me such confusion that I decided to learn more of this ‘pony-stuff’.
I then decided to find and watch the first episode, being a two part’er, I watched the second episode, then the third and forth and fifth and so on. Now I understand most of Pony. I’ve even read Cupcakes, The Rainbow Factory and The Pegasus Device so I could understand the many references made regarding those. I’ve viewed most, I believe, of the .mov animations…. Which I found …one viewing of those is enough for me.
Now I stand up until 1 or 3 a.m. browsing Derpibooru.
My sister introduced me. She’s been watching the show since the premiere, and has loved it since. In 2011, just after the first season ended, I believe, she wanted to know how the DVRs worked after she recorded the season finale. She came to my room and asked me, and I showed her how. Since I ha fit pulled up on my TV, she asked if she could watch it. I just shrugged and let her.
And I enjoyed it! Fluttershy’s instantly became my favorite. Over the course of that summer, I got caught up on season one. By the time season 2 was about to premiere, I was ready. I’ve loved it ever since, and it’s been an amazing six years for me. Here’s to many more!
I liked ponies (admittedly rather ironically) even in the earlier generations. So I was curious and eager to see what a new take on them would be. 7 years later, I’m still enjoying them.
so, how’d you guys get into the show? Just curious
I’d always intended to check the show out at some point because I was already a fan of several of the people involved in making it, but a fellow graphic designer friend of my wife’s insisted we watch a video of Art Of the Dress and that was pretty much it for the both of us.

‘‘somebody’’ or ‘‘somepony’’?
Pink absolutely does not care whose birthday it is, she will celebrate the buck out of it. If The Smooze had a birthday she would bake it a golden cake just to see it smile.
I saw a few standout memes in 2013, and thought “hey, this looks okay”, and around 4 years later, I’m still a big fan of this show.
Also, at least no one said “Life Day”. [shudders in fear]
Yeah They didn’t say BirthDay ah nuts.
