It’s been about 3 months since I’ve modeled out a new mane and tail for a different character. But now that’s changed! We’ve got my version of Ponka right here. This pose is a bit more dynamic than what I’ve done before, so if something doesn’t look quite right, let me know. And I’ll start expanding my library of character models soon too, and hopefully ones that aren’t just earth ponies.
So with my previous experience before with Modeling Pear Butter’s poofy mane and tail, I incorporated different modeling techniques this time around, and hopefully looks more convincing with Pinkie’s mane than it did with Pear Butter’s.

Definitely on the right track there.
Spent some time looking at the head shape and improving on what I think will help make it look better. Not sure if I am at least in ballpark range of what needs to be fixed…? I’m too used to how it looked before to really tell for myself.
Yeah, it’s a little tall.
Talk about a literal egghead.
Dammit, now I can’t unsee that. Looks like I have something to fix up tonight. I suppose flattening the top of the head slightly might help?
Oh yes I know of Twilight’s subtle changes. Probably won’t get to her alicorn form for a while though. Expect her unicorn form much sooner.
