The prices on Ebay are crazy, chances are that Hasbro keep the traditional minis, only that I have noticed that it is very difficult to get the newest minis and that is why the speculation unleashes.
Ridiculous markups on eBay.
Probably depends on sales of this type compared to sales of the new type for whether this style continues.

Hopefully and Hasbro continue pulling out this type of Minis, because I think plan to pull a new line with different designs, Trixie is one of the most difficult to get minis.

Heck, I had trouble getting my hands on Photo Finish.
Yes, I plan to keep getting things out of the minis, they are one of the best things that Hasbro has done, Rarity is very good with black because of its white color, I have not been able to get Trixie but I keep trying.
Also, I really like what you’ve done here, it makes me want to make my own version of this Rarity. That’s the Trendy Accessories Rarity with Photo Finish’s skirt and Switch-and-Mix Twilight’s glasses, right?
I have found that some parts of different minis are reused in other designs, for example Vinyl was the basis for the Mini Photo Finish, Pinkie Pie’s hair for most of Adagio, Rainbow Dash for others and Photo skirt Finish is similar even though it brings a Rarity set with three outfits.
Didn’t Photo Finish always have diamonds on her skirt though?
But if you look closely the skirt has diamonds like Rairy cutie mark, most likely the skirt of Photo Finish was an unfinished prototype of Rarity.
