Sabaton, Powerwolf, (And a lesser known band named Triarii) Are easily my three favorite bands
i’d say same thing, that they are overrated and overpaid asf
To the war themes, band Sabbaton likes wwii like very much (80% of tets are inspired) and when classmate wears their hoodie where are soldiers on his back, i always ask him how’s his Battlefield campain going. He’s not wearing that hoodie much lately…

Metallica’s first album is entitled “Kill ‘em All”. Boring? Hell no. Edgy? Fuck yeah. The Metal genre as a whole is known for it’s dark themes, such as war, murder, rape and the like.
There are plenty of boring Metal bands that sing about such topics. Per your description, Metal can be edgy as a 12 year old boy’s first time on 4chan. Don’t kid yourself in thinking otherwise.
if i get it right, iron maiden is edgy and powerwolf metal
i won’t argue, for i take them both as sh*t (powerw ecpecially) compared to my stoney music
